I live in Robinson, IL. I have my AHA Certifications for Clinical Medical Assistant, EKG Technician, and Phlebotomy Technician. I've put my application and resume in everywhere, even on the net but I still can't get a job. Now what do I do? A lot of places want years of experience but I submit resume anyway. I'm even willing to relocate! Still no go!!

I have been a MA since 1998, started at $10.00 HR in New Orleans, now I live 1 hr north of Seattle and make $16.50 hr but the cost of living here is much higher. No real benefit to making more money.

I have worked as a "Medical Assistant " since 1989 started at $10.00 an hr. maxed $14.00 an hr over 2 years ago. I Started in Napa Valley very close to Vallejo even looked for work there. I have never seen in all my career where a Medical Assistant could make $40,000 a year. "NO WAY"
