Either someone exploring a new fetish or a painful new way of smuggling weapons I guess! Actually looks fake to me...

It would be interesting to see if they had a lateral view so you could better assess the validity of the image.  Certainly it's not completely impossible, I have yet to see the good old 'light bulb,' trick myself, but I have a colleague who had one less than six months ago, and the films from that were amazing...  It actually was the second set of films I've seen, so the light bulb thing is actually fairly common....  The rectum actually creates a vacuum uppon insertion which is why people can get that sort of thing in without killing themselves, but have a much more difficult time getting them out.  There is also an additional radiopaque object next to the gun and a loop over the gun that suggests that in this picture.... if real.... they may be in the process of trying to retrieve it.  Additionally, from the marker, you can see that this person is lying down... possibly prone (if they are prone it means that the tech is really good because they reversed their marker to come out in the appropriate orientation uppon exposure) which would be the possition you would be in if they were going after it.  I admit it is incredible, but I wouldn't rule it out completely without a look at a larger image with better resolution.
