| Posted 6 months ago Believe It or Not!!! Close to 3 yrs ago, before I worked as an MA, I was employed at a local hospital as a phlebotomist. Most days were not exciting, arriving at 6am and drawing 35-50 patients before 8am. One day in paticular, I recieve a "stat" call from ER. When I arrived in the ER (by the way I was instructing a student) I was told to draw blood on a patient in bay#?. As I approached the bay, I noticed the patient was extremely agitated and the police were observing. To make a long story short...The patient was a local business man who decided to try "crack" and was out of his mind. He was throwing feces everywhere he could, urinating, and trying to bite anyone near. Eventually the police got the him restrained and the tests needed proceeded. |
