Posted 6 months ago I am an xray tech and a mammographer....I have applied to jobs in the Austin, Tx area and have had no luck. You would think with 2 registries and an associate degree, I would be able to land a great job. I think part of the problem is the jobs are not listed in the usual places, per say, the internet. If anyone can help me network, I would love the help. |

| Posted 6 months ago I agree with you. I myself have been out of work for almost 8 months now. I just like you have an AA in Medical Administration. I don't have the extra registries that you do, however I did go to another professionsal college and get a certificate in another medical field. My problem I believe is that I have been out of the workforce for 4 years and employers arn't wanting to deal with that or ask the reason.. I also think that this one might be both our problem, the medical field going paperless. All if not most aplications are done online now days. It's like the employer doesn't want to meat you..... If you figure it out let me know. I've worked my resume' over more than once and am doing it again something must work. Over 170 resume's and still nothing. |

| Posted 3 months ago It is difficult now that one can't go to a doctor's office and place an application. The company usually wants to have someone Fax their resume and cover letter or they will get it on the internet. I've been out of the job market, except for working 6 hours at the church, since my husband was transferred from New Jersey. Now that he's been let go, I find it quite interesting to put some keywords in, then have it bounce back saying that there isn't anything in the system, try again. Still, it's a new thing and I'm not about to give up. |

| Posted 2 months ago Hello everyone, I wanted to post a little note here, I work as a healthcare recruiter and as a nuclear med tech. I have seen working as a recruiter many of the road blocks your talking about, but I have access to many unpublished jobs. It cost the medical facility to post these jobs and many of them are opting to go with recruiters on strictly an online job announcement and application process. The problem with that is that many of the qualified candidates often get overlooked. I know I can not help everyone, but if you would like me to do a market search for you let me know and I will check it out. My site is www.qtimeinc.com and you can email me there, brian@qtimeinc.com good luck to all of you and I certainly wish you all the best in your respective searches. |
