Flash cards are the bomb!! I also recommend re-writing lecture and lab notes. Repetition is key. Overall, it is important to know yourself and know how you learn and remember things best. Take a learning style test!!

Hello all,

I second Morganne's suggestion about repitition.  My chinese acupuncture professors always used the term "recite", which I found facinating since their explanation of things in Chinese physiology was verbatum, they use the word recite because many explanations about chinese theory of the organs are written as an art form using wonderful terminology to describe organ functions.  Learning Chinese herbs was a challenge and learning formulas was even more challenging.  Repititon helped me pass my National Board exams and I also had flashcards for studying herbs.

Learning styles are also important.  Are you a visual learner, tactile learner, auditory learner, group or single studier?  All interesting things to consider.  For those of you studying for exams, Bach Flower Remedies makes a under the tongue remedy called Rescue Remedy and it helps in very stressful situations.  I use it when I have to fly, as I dislike airplanes and it causes me anxiety so intense that my palms and soles of my feet sweat profusely.  Yikes!  Hope everyone is having a great day!
