| Posted 4 months ago I work at the American Medical Association (AMA), where we've developed an employee-led "green team." Also, many of our physician members have begun to take note of the impact of the health care industry on the environment--there were several resolutions/reports at our last meeting on everything from global warming's impact on human health to the need to make our meetings less paper-intensive. |

| Posted 2 months ago But I jest, no, in fact we have begun to try to reduce the amount of films that we give out to people. Rather we push for patients and doctors to accept CDs with their studies on them. You can fit more studies on the CD without the need for costly and environmentaly unfriendly chemicals and film. .. .. .. As for the paperwork. Well, one can only hope that one day with the computers we have we wouldn't have to print out every single order, but untill that day every little bit we do helps. |
At my workplace, we are trying to become more aware of the enviroment. The multiple samples we receive from our drug rep, I try to recycle the boxes and inserts. From our lunches, we try to collect plastic and recycle those also. Every little bit counts ;)
I think we all have a responsibility to be "green". Whatever we can do for the environment, we should all try.
