Posted 2 months ago As I have made my way through school and through the hospital environments I have found that many times my lust for knowledge has been advantageous to other individuals because I can anticipate some of their needs and help them out. Calling ahead when I know a patient needs to be disconnected from heart monitors and IVs prior to MRIs, taking the time to learn lead placements and to remember which equipment a patient was hooked up to when I return them to their room in the ER, anything I can do to make the lives of those around me simpler I try to do. ... So, here's the beginning and the point to this thread. In your position, whatever it may be, nurse, physician, etc. What are things that you could teach your fellow employees about, or things that you wish they would keep their eyes open for, that could improve both the quality of patient care, and simplify your day? |
