Posted 2 months ago I'm so passionate about this campaign. I've never donated time or money to a presidential campaign before this. What have you all been doing to support Obama (or your candidate of choice)? |

| Posted about 1 month ago I never miss an opportunity to engage people in conversation about the issues at hand, particularly those who I hear speaking of support for McCain, but who don't appear to have a clear reason other than party affiliation. I talk to co-workers, something I have previously avoided, I talk to random people I meet in resteraunt, bus stops, etc. anywhere where a little rabble rousing, or some good old fasion respectfull discussion can help to push just that one more person in the right direction. (or left direction as it were....) ... I just feel so strongly that we need to take this country back toward a path to at very least center if not a little to the left. We are so far out in Right field now that I think even Reagan would cringe if he saw what we've become, and he was no friend to publicly funding health care. We all remember his plan for the mental health system was clear cut.... close the public mental hospitals and then let 10,000, probably a lot more..., homeless people find programs to take them in privately. We need to get back to a place where we can stop blaming one another for what's wrong long enough to actually address the problems and since there are no liberal independents currently in the race qualified enough or with any chance of getting elected, then that leaves us with a solid need for a Democratic White House. |

| Posted about 1 month ago T-shirts,pins you name it but without starting a new forum I am talking to everyone about not only registering to vote but going out to vote. It is important as getting up in the morning because this is going to effect our lives for a number of years and if we vote we have some say so in what is happenning and it is high time the American people let our learders know that we are not standing for any foolishness any more. Regardless of who is President I prefer Michelle Obama but they need to be held responsible for wrong doings and bad policy making. Take back our Country and make sure no one tells The United States what we should or need to do. |

| Posted about 1 month ago My opinion is that Obama could possibly make a positive impact on the economy. So far things he talk about are of interest to me and my teenage children have joined the fight to take back the white house by getting their friends involved in the voting process. They make sure their friends have transportation to the voting sites and speak constantly to the kids who dont feel their vote will count |

OBAMA IS VERY MOTIVATED AND PASSIONATE ABOUT CHANGING THE ECONOMY FOR THE BETTER, AND LISTENING TO HIM MAKES YOU WANT TO FIGHT BACK TO CHANGE OUR COUNTRY AND GET IT BACK ON TRACK. I THINK THAT HE REALLY WANTS CHANGE , WE ALL DO AND IT' S TIME. GO OBAMA!!!!!! GO OBAMA!!!!!! |

| Posted 28 days ago I do not think Obama's plan would help the economybecause he talks about taxing the rich but we all know that rich people don't pay taxes and it will all fall back to us paying high prices on everything. Free health care would not work in America because we have a society that does not care about living and when people don't care about life they will do anything. Thats what keeps our hospitals going is our state prison budget for health care in Michigan it is $500million dollars this year. most of the hospitals treat gunshot wounds here if it would not be for criminals we would not have a job. Obama's example is the people he has helped in Chicago that goes to his church they have not tasted the American dream as he has but he uses them when he wants to move his political agenda which is the rich is getting rich and the poor is getting poor. I was raised in a time when kids had dreams and had a responsibility to there family and community to do and be the best we can with our life. Thats gone listen to the tone of young people today and the music no creativity what so ever. Obama represents more welfare, more corrupt politicians, and a degrading health system, Michigan is a prime example of what our Country will look like with Obama. Michigan has the highest unemployment rate out of all the states in the country and we pay the highest taxes. Taxing the rich results in you paying higher payroll taxes. |

| Posted 24 days ago Obama has not once stated that he wants Exxon Mobile, Texaco, et. all, or for that matter the Ford Motor Company, AT&T, Semens, General Electric, Con Edison, Dow Chemicals, Microsoft, etc, etc to become state owned corporations. That is what socialism is my friend. The simple fact that you do not seem to understand what socialism means tells me that this country does in fact need a leader like Barack Obama who is articulate, well educated, and not afraid to state his views for the public to hear without couching them in hate speech and fear mongering. Barack Obama is NOT a socialist. In fact, the closest we've come to socialism lately is when George W. Bush decided that he wanted to purchase all the banks. Only difference is that in a socialist country, when all that cash was handed over, the government would expect to get controll over the actions of the banks. . . In our country, we're simply going to give them a giant wad of cash and let them go back to screwing us over. |
