I have a friend who wants to start a dental tourism web site for Mexican dentists. Anybody here been to a dentist in Mexico?

I have another friend, a travel writer, who gets all his dental work done in Thailand, where I also here it's very good. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

I know someone who had dental work done in Russia when we studied abroad there. It wasn't the best experience. I would imagine that the Mexican and Thai version would be much better. I have friends living in Mexico who say that the system is pretty good.

I agree JZ82. My husband is from Mexico and whenever we go to his hometown we make it a point to visit the dentist. Great service at a much lower cost--even considering rate exchange.

I have to say...there is always going to be good dentistry and bad dentistry...anywhere you go...even in the US!  I graduated from VCU/MCV School of Dentistry and we had different mission projects to many different regions of VA.  We also had a trip to Jamaica and at all these places we provided free dental services.  These are great experiences and would encourage anyone to volunteer!  Moving to another country to provide dental services might not be ideal to someone...but volunteering really is rewarding!
